Sandra Pietraszek, Director 


Founder of Camillus Dance Centre, Ms. Pietraszek is celebrating her 35th year as a managing director of a professional dance school.  In 1988, she was instrumental in starting a new dance school, Dance West.  Within its first year, Dance West emerged as a successful, respected establishment for the teaching of dance arts.  She was director and instructor of Dance West from 1988 to 1991.  In 1991, she decided to expand her philosophy into a full service dance institution, Camillus Dance Centre.  During the 1992-93 teaching year Ms. Pietraszek directed and choreographed Camillus Dance Centre's touring production of Peter and the Wolf.  In response to the interest created by this production, Main Street Ballet was formed and continues to promote its innovative dance arts throughout Central New York.

A graduate of the State University of NY at Brockport in 1986, she holds a dual degree of BS in Modern Dance and Business Finance Administration.  While at Brockport, she choreographed and performed in a variety of student and faculty concerts.  In addition, Ms. Pietraszek participated in the Dance Olympus Teachers' Convention in NYC in 1987.  As a faculty member of the Dance Studio in Fairmont and Manlius from 1986-88, she choreographed the Spring Productions for the Camillus Middle School between 1987 and '89.  Ms. Pietraszek continues to expand her professional and personal dance training at the Broadway Dance Center and STEPS in NYC, as well as participating in many local and national programs.
  


Nina Scrimale 


Ms. Scrimale graduated in 2018 from Le Moyne College, majoring in Adolescent Mathematics Education and Special Education, with a minor in Dance.  She also took dance classes at Le Moyne including Pilates, Musical Theatre and Contemporary Dance Styles.  A staff member at Camillus Dance Centre since 2014, Nina was an assistant teacher at Caitlin Clark's Center of Dance. She also attended Caitlin Clark's 2004 - 2015, as well as Toni Wright's Dance Theatre 1998 - 2004.  Locally, Nina choreographed for Fabius Pompey High School musicals  "Seussical", "Willy Wonka Jr.", and "Thoroughly Modern Millie". She is the dance instructor for the Fabius Pompey Summer Musical Theatre Intensive Skill Building Institute.    


Laura Schad


Ms. Schad graduated from Union College in 2016 with a dual major in Sociology and Environmental Science plus a minor in Dance.  While attending Union College Laura was a member and choreographer for the Union College Dance Team and performed in a multitude of student and faculty dance productions.  Locally, Ms. Schad trained at Camillus Dance Centre for 15 years and participated in the Intensive Program and Main Street Ballet.  Laura was a member of the West Genesee High School Dance Department.  She preciously taught at The Dance Studio in Manlius.


Natasha Skidmore


Ms. Skidmore graduated from the University at Buffalo in 2023 with a BFA in Dance and a minor in Education. In her time at UB, she was a part of the Zodiaque Dance Company where she worked with many working professionals in the dance community such as Mr. Tom Ralabate, Angel Mammoliti, Bill Thomas, Jen Apter, and more. In addition, Natasha directed, performed, and choreographed for several other departmental shows. She has attended the American College Dance Association Conference, the Entity Contemporary Dance Intensive, and summer classes at the University of North Carolina Greensboro. Ms. Skidmore grew up dancing at Camillus Dance Centre for 15 years participating in the Intesive Program and the Main Street Ballet while also teaching/assisting. Additionally, Natasha is the director/dance teacher at West Genesee High School as well as the choreographer for their schools musical. She is versed in many styles such as ballet, contemporary, jazz, pointe, tap, musical theatre, and more.
