Started in 1987, Camillus Dance Centre is committed to offering a variety of dance education classes, taught by qualified instructors, for interested students of all ages in Camillus, Marcellus, Skaneateles, and the surrounding area. Our curriculum is designed as a structured, diverse education program, taught in a non competitive manner according to a graded syllabus similar to those used by professional dance schools and companies.

Philosophy

Camillus Dance Centre offers classes in dance at all levels of ability - from beginner to advanced - for children, teens and adults. We are committed to teaching as art form, regardless of what benefits are being sought, or why it is being studied. Students are encouraged to understand and appreciate this art form as they are given insights into what makes a dancer. Our hope is that the required discipline, technique, fitness, coordination, and grace can be attained in a healthy and enjoyable atmosphere. Most importantly, our promise is that, while we remain dedicated to these principles and goals, we will always regard each student as an individual, worthy of personal attention. Only professionals will teach your children.
